Mr. Mohammad Nazrul Islam joined as 10th Chief Judicial Magistrate, Naogaon on 20 November 2024. Before that he was serving as Additional District and Session Judge in Lalmonirhat District. His Service ID (2008203324)
He passed the 3rd BJS (Bangladesh Judicial Service) examination in 2008 and started his career as a judge by joining the post of Assistant Judge in Panchgarh District.
Mr. Mohammad Nazrul Islam was born on January 05, 1981 in Goal Dighi village of Haripur upazila of Thakurgaon District in a noble muslim family. He passed Dakhil (Equivalent S.S.C) in 1995 at Khamar Eidgah Dakhil Madrasha in Haripur Upazila of Thakurgaon District and Alim (Equivalent H.S.C) in 1997 at Setabganj Alia Madrasha in Bochaganj Upazila of Dinajpur District with merit and got admission in Law and Justice Department of Rajshahi University from where he obtained LL.B (Hons) in 2002 and LL.M in 2003.
During his career he has received basic and advanced professional training in the country and abroad. Among these, Training for Bangladesh Judges and Judicial Officers organized by the National Judicial Academy in Bhopal in 2023 funded by the Government of India; the Basic Training Course organized by the Judicial Administration Training Institute, Dhaka in 2009; 55th Basic Training Course organized by the Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre in 2013 and the Military Training Course organized by the Bangladesh Military Academy in 2014 are particularly noteworthy.
In personal life Mr. Mohammad Nazrul Islam is married and father of two daughters and one son.
